Pass It On!

Have you ever had one of those days when everything you do goes
wrong and you feel downright miserable? The kind of day that you
long for someone to say something positive and thoughtful to you,
just something that could help you feel better? Of course you have!
But we have a tendency to forget that other people have bad days
as well. When we meet up with someone having their bad day,
we often shrug them off and go on our merry way, conveniently
forgetting what our bad day felt like. If only we would take the
time to remember how we felt and pass along to that person our
good feeling. This would give them some encouragement, and
these positive words could make all the difference in the world to
them.
There are many stories of people who were about to take their
own life when they received a kindness from a stranger; sometimes
it was just a few words that gave them hope, but it was enough to
pull them away from the brink. Some of those people went on to
give hope to someone else and inspire countless others.
We have numerous sayings that we all know, to cover these
situations: “What goes around comes around”, “ We reap what we
sow”, “ Do unto others……”. But we don’t remember them unless it
suits us to do so.
If only we would take the time to help others on their bad day,
then maybe there’s a chance that someone will help us on our bad
day.
Go ahead … pass it on! Ma ke someone ’s day !

Do The Right Thing

The degree of success we achieve in life will, in large part, be
directly linked to the way we treat those with whom we come in
contact. In order for us to achieve our goals, we will need the help
of others. There is no such thing as a “self-made” man or woman.
We all need the help, or at least the willing cooperation of others.
The amount of help we get will depend on the level of respect we
give to other people, how we react to them, how we speak to them
and how much WE help THEM. Zig Zigler, motivational speaker
and author, put it this way, “We will get what we want in life if we
help enough other people get what they want.”
Removing the focus from ourselves and putting it onto others
is the surest way to achieving our own desires. When you interact
with others take a genuine interest in them, smile, be warm and
open to them. Find out how you can SERVE THEM. Don’t be
looking for ways that they can serve you. Open your mind, your
eyes and your heart. Listen and then act on what you learn.
There are those that feel they can achieve success without
serving others; that is true to a point. But if we look closely at
those people, we will see that their success lacks depth and is
not satisfying to them. As a result, it is usually very short-lived
and they live a life of regrets. There is an old saying, “Be nice to
those you meet on the way up. You’ll meet them again on the way
down.” What it doesn’t say is that you will never get to the top if
you don’t treat people the right way. Serve and help others, that
way your success will that much stronger and give you a feeling of
satisfaction in having…………… Done the right thing!
